Not that long ago I was invited to take a look at a huge walk in safe...basically a huge vault ..twas un real ti say the least ,it was the ultimate gun safe beyond any doubt. The owner remarked that if he was awakened during the night with a knife at his throat or more so his wife's he would not hesitate to unlock his safe. He simply stated a fact that if someone wanted the contents then they would get what they wanted even from a vault..fact. I hope no one ever has to find out.........is anything safe?

Well the answer to the original question is possibly impossible to define, not because the rules are unclear but because of the inconsistency of those doing the inspections,
I have had always had good security but since moving into an new home recently I decided to upgrade I have a small office container lined with 12 mm rolled steel plate welded to the inner walls to anchor the 6 mm double deadlocked safes despite the unit being quad locked and the safes anchored with 12 mm high tensile bolts threaded into the 12 mm plates the inspector told said she didn’t think it was secure enough. Go figure sorted under appeal though
