New Pond close to overhead powerlines

I’ve just been offered a new duck shooting pond. Went there today and pond looks great and has never been shot on but….
There is a large overhead set of powerlines within range of the pond. I’m thinking it’s going to rule it out unfortunately. Can’t change to other side of the pond due to the terrain- and powerlines almost runs directly over pond .
Has anyone had real world experience with this situation?

Not a deal breaker. You can limit yourselves field of fire to exclude them. I've seen duck hit powerlines and come down in hurry... Look again at angles available...then look again.

Can you sit under lines so be shooting along them rather than at them sideways?? Birds SHOULD try to avoid them so may stay low...

Yes Can sit so shooting along them which I thought would reduce or minimise “harm”
They are the massive big steel pylons that are maybe 30 metres high

Problem solved then.... Go sit take few practice swings and see how difficult it will or won't be...if the ducks are using pond, your ahead of a lot of folks before you start.

Non duck shooter here with a dumb question - is it true that ducks are less likely to land on ponds that have wires running across?

During shooting season ducks are edgy and I have no doubts wires would put off some ducks if in flight path

those big 250 kva lines a bit of track here but a point with them - fires near them are a no no struck it doing a big scrub burnoff as a Rural Fire Officer apparently the carbon in heavy smoke can cause serious arcing between the lines - gave us all sorts of logistical problems getting the 600 acre burn done - achieved it with some carefull helicopter lit back burning gratefull cocky put a dozen on my ute- he did not think for some time that he would get it lit up- must admit I was nervous about that one
