Thread: YALDIZ SINGLE SHOT .410 - LIFESTYLE BLOCK

Thinking I need a .410 to deal with pests and fun, currently using a .22 but new houses springing up all around me, have to be careful where shooting re back drop etc. My thoughts that the .410 would be ideal, a shortish range , less chance of ricochets. I have looked at the yaldiz single shot. Anyone have a review on these or any other brand I should look at. what sort of practicable range, best ammo? Don't want to spend mega bucks.

I have one, fun wee gun and nice to use. But way too loud for my lifestyle block.

Only too loud if have iffy neighbours. @Fssprecision does suppressed version,might be just the ducks nuts. Or air rifle along with its suckyness. With .410 you really want 3" shell with #4 shot .Winchester,gamebore and fiochil are the pick of them as have 11/16th Oz payload. The Winchester 2 1/2" with half Oz isn't too bad either. You need to check payload as some shells are pityful.and you need to pattern at 25 yards to see what's great n what sucks.

Big thing with 410 is ammo is dearer than uranium. 25-35 a box of 25 for hunting ammo. I have a pump action 410 and it's a great wee gun.
Pity the non toxic shot has buggered it for a kids/grandkids duck gun

I've never really got them to blow out properly especially the last third. What's your secret. My best were annealed then run a 9.3 sizing button through 40 grains of 2 f and a tight packed wad of paper towel. I'd like to have another go as I've got heaps of spare 303

I'm curious why you would bother? Why not just use plastic 410 cases?

The secret is firing them vertically. Fast pistol powder like Red dot or bullseye and couscous or similar packed in with toilet paper. It seems to avoid balloon head or side bulges.

Cheaper than shit to reload it though bud...

If you go to wingman’s post on the everlasting shells I think you will find that you can make them for bigger all

I had Yaldiz 410 awhile back .Darren [FSS] fully suppressed it but now use the Rossi Monty suppressed with a choke to control the pattern vs shot size
the Rossi is easier to load[break open ] as you have a hammer to cock or un cock as you wish .Great when you teach the G.Kids as you can see if the hammers pulled back
Un suppressed shotties are not to bad in the day but at night they seem louder hahaa
That why we use the Darren specials . Reloading is fun , its a pity Tungsten super shot is so pricey as with this stuff your range is improved a lot
