Thread: when should a Labrador start swimming?

be patient small steps christ my gsp is 8 odd and cant swim for shite looks fantastic as long as one or two paws can touch the bottom but other than that shit i reckon fat old me could swim better.

My young bitch had only ever been in water up to her chest...so a couple of trips to the river where I found a pool just deep enough for her to have to actually swim...I walked through the water with her...once her feet left the bottom, she was compelled to swim...we crossed the pool a few times on both visits...now I cannot get her out of the water!!!!
