    Sorry to hear about your dog, I think cremation is the best bet mate, gives you options, hang onto the ashes, or spread them somewhere that meant something to you and the dog. A "gone but not forgotten" framed photo or something if you felt the need to have something physical to hold onto. Our staffy will be 18 this year, he bounds round like a pup still but I know hes starting to push the life expectancy boundaries for a staffy so thats what we will probably end up doing when his time comes.
    We have a framed eartag to remind us of a cow that was pretty special to us... too big to go in the cremation oven! but when she passed she got a 7 hour ride home to parents farm and her own tree to rest under.
