Thread: Bleeding ears on GSP

Bought some of the polaramine tablets. Given the dog 1 tab a day for 2 days. What is the regime for usage please. Chemist thought I was nuts when I explained what it was for then said he did not want to know.

3rd day and no scratching. So far so good. But got the 2mill tabs. Presume no diff? Great advice. Cheers. Dog is much happier. Trouble is trout fishing is via our rivers which lowland parts are festooned with the deaded wandering jew. Cant scream at the dog because same cover for pheasants.

How do I recognize wandering jew and where would I strike it?

Grows anywhere wet. Close to riverbeds etc. On the coast at least. I never heard of it till my dog was afflicted with it. Took ages and hundreds of dollars for the vets to figure it out.

Thanks for that, not long spent $1600 over a couple of months with a skin specialist" fixing" my dogs apparent food allergy and he's now on a "special" diet that costs $160 for 8kg, that goes a loooong way for a 44kg German Shepherd ........... not! - was hoping for a lightbulb moment,
going to have a close look at the river where I take him swimming now.

Yeah I hear ya. I went thru the diet and food thing as well. They never lifted a finger to test anything before coming to conclusions that cost shitloads.

New vet arrived and did a swab test. Bingo. Wandering jew.

My deaf,16yr old gsp had a stroke last year,knew his time was up so took him to the vet to put him down,they went into a massive spiel about how they might be able to fix him ,blah blah blah,will need blood tests,overnight stay,ongoing care etc,all while the wife and kids are bawling in reception..lost my shit eventually and told them to give him a shot or I would take him home and do it myself..bloody grifters..
