Progress already. This dog loves the pack situation and always wants to be 'around' the rest of them doing what they are doing. Starting to come to her new name better than the old one, it's gone from Pippa (which got nothing happening) to Pip. Jumping onto the ute, in fact she likes it there.
RCGSP and Lindsay Barnett like this.

Oh, and she's very timid. It's just getting beter all the time.
She's got a nose though, can sniff a dog biccy out real fast. But put a gutted rabbit in front of her and it's wft?
Age means nothing, your handling means everything... don;t allow your shortcomings to be put onto some other poor bastard... give me the most ill treated dog in the country and see how it reacts when around me... don;t use it's supposed background as your copout.

Ah Ruff. It'll take some time to get to know her. Age does have a bearing though, the older it is the shorter the working life so the less time one is likely to put into it. BUT if she shows potential then there is likely to be more time, you would already know things like that though.

Less than five minutes establishes your relationship with the dog... any more and you have moved into anthropomorphism.... it takes me minutes to get to know a dog... faaarrkkk you think this is a dog forum or a dating service?

I have worked out someone has given her a kick in the guts at some stage. Tonight sitting outside with the hounds I crossed my legs and she was off, fast.

Doesn't say much for the breed does it? She's been right along side them for days and only noticed today...

Ok, I'll put it another way. It doesn't say much for the dog.
