I tried this after hearing about it so much here.
Never again. After a week it was still running out of the team. A couple of days I would expect, diet change and all that. But not a week! About the worst I've ever seen their turds, poor buggers.
I'm finding the Pal stuff the sweet spot at the moment when they are on dry food, from the stock agents it has a good price point and they are all doing well on it.

We have ditched the Coprice too - now on a dry biscuit similar to tux but higher in protein and fat, plus lamb mince.

Jet jumped through an eight wire and busted his cruciate so was crated pretty much an entire two weeks and has fattened up nicely!

Knee recovering slowly now (huge muscle loss) we are 4 1/2 weeks since surgery.

I found my working dog Lab was always thirsty when I fed him Coprice, mentioned it to a farmer mate and he said his farm dogs were the same so he hasn't been back. I also found it went through their system bloody quick too

Poor Bugger, Is that Jet doing his " I'm expensive" look??
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

What do they do there Dougie? Do they take a ligament graft from elsewhere and make a new one like humans get?

Yup... Paired with his dew claw removal (he had two on each foot) you're looking at just over $2k for that sack of bones!

If it makes you feel better, I wouldn't have hesitated to spend that sort of $$ on either of our pooches.

He's gone through a lot with me this dog - earthquakes, seven flat moves in two years following the shakes, my depression post army/during injury, my move up north then up north-er... I wouldn't like him to test it but the figure would probably have to be a bit higher for me to consider anything else other than paying it.
