That is a bloody good idea.
I took Tux high energy for the Bok last trip which was his first and being a Vizsla he always looks underfed to me.
He gorged on the front end of deer after it was boned out, but man the farts were unreal.
It was his first deer shot over him so I spoiled him with meat, next trip which is in June he is only getting heart and bones.
I never thought of it as I like the black ones but I guess it is a risk in fallow country.

Sweeps starting to look a wee bit old there mate
got a few good years left in him.... his nose is fine.
I used to take that freeze dried K9 food on trips for my GWP... that is until they about doubled the price and it was hardly cheap before.
For the last trip I took her away on I made up a mix of some minced up tahr offcuts, rice and pasta all cooked up and then thrown in the dehydrater. Nice and light and she seemed to do alright on it (obviously needs rehydrating). Looking at getting her a pack from realdog.co.nz , 5-7 kg out of my pack will be well worth the money!
Awesome video thanks for sharing
Bloody good gear alright from realdog.co.nz
We have a couple of their collars and they are lasting well so far and they are similar price to other dog collars
