Thread: Second dog

We have a pound special as a pet. From what we can tell she is a Whippet black lab cross - lovely dog with a ton of energy. Points and flushes birds naturally - so gunshy if you clap she runs for cover!

We have recently looked after someone else's dog and loved how they just tired each other out. We have a few acres that is fenced for them to run around.

I would like a dog to indicate on deer. I really like the look and size of a gsp but have been told to look at vizlas, I don't like needy dogs (which our current one can be) so aren't looking too hard at them. Are there any breeders to look at with the gsp?

The dog would be a pet with hunts in the weekend. I have ready access to farmland with plenty of reds and fallow to train on.

Any recomendations?
