Thread: Realizing you have a 7mm fetishe. . . .

Got to thinking tonight when I was doing another custom how loved the 7mm is for long range work. Got me thinking an a number I thought of would be 70%???? Of New Zealand longer range shooters would be packing the 7mm in some description as there go to hunting rifle when they go bush for periods of time or quick hunts.

Then got thinking fuck i have been through a few of them myself good to something thinking I needed bigger then gone back thinking fuck that was to big. . .

Here's a wee pick of ones I dugout that I have had or own now. . Left to right
7mm300wsm, 7mm saum, 280, 280ai, 7mm wingman, 7mm stw, 7mm rem mag an 7mm screamer. . . . .forgot 284 in photo sorry

Add some more if you have them, I know I will always have at least 1 7mm in the cabinet

Have never owned one but would like one one day in the saum wsm or maybe rem mag sort of region.
Next rifle will be a barrel burner tho in 22

Looks interesting.

My 7mm journey has been 7mm08, then 7mmRUM, then 7mmWSM, then 7mmSAUM, and finally the 7mm Fatmax (the sister of the 7mm screamer). Contemplating a 7mm/338 Lapua Magnum Improved...

I won't be without a 7mm of some description, really nice balance between ballistic performance, weight and recoil I think.

I am one of them, my fetish is for the older 7mms, currently have a 7mmRM, would love to get my hands on a 7x57 Mauser and a 7x64 Brenneke.

I didn't realize having a 7mm was a 'fetish'...I thought when I had my STW built it was because I had chosen wisely.

Yea boi, we all know 7mm is where it's at, but these cunts all building saum's is fucking me off, so the question is what are we going to build after tahr season is over????
