About LinkBacks8 years volunteering for the South region of Camp Quality - an annual week-long camp for kids affected by cancer. They each get paired up with a trained "companion" who is their buddy for the week. Was a companion for 5 years, and have been on the regional organising committee for 3 years. Recently became 2IC web advisor to the board.
Also the secretary of the Dunedin branch committee of the Child Cancer Foundation, and on the Otago/Southland regional committee for that too.
Absolutely love what I do, and the passionate and amazing people that I get to meet. I don't really understand why more people don't volunteer.
