    Yep. Ask any fisherman who has lightly tapped a carbon rod - especially the very high modulus ones - against a boat, only to have the rod snap on the next big one. Carbon doesn't take well to lateral impacts. Flexing the arrows before shooting usually sorts out the issue, letting you know. In this case, I flexed it, but it didn't make any noise, because the damage was behind my hand, but when I nocked the arrow, it wouldn't hold the string, so I fortunately took a closer look.
