Compounders: What releases do you use?

Keen to hear from you all about what flavor of release you guys use. Am thinking about upgrading from the cheap release aid that came with my bow. It's a trigger release, any recommendations? Did you find moving to a button much better for your form?

    Cheers

I used a trueball index release now I us an Ultraview button. I shoot better with the button, was starting to get a bit of target panic with the index.

I switch between two - both Carter handheld models. The back tension one is an Evolution, and the thumb button is an Insatiable +. Both are excellent. I got an AMEYXGS index release with my bow, which failed at peak draw, and left me with a split lip and zero faith in Chinese releases. I used to have a Scott Rhino index, but also found it caused target panic. The button release and backtl tension both helped sort out target panic, although the button seems more consistent for me.
Remember that your release is actually a safety critical item as it is the only thing stopping you from sending an arrow where it shouldn't be going. It is also critical to your confidence, and needs to be consistent for you perform well. It's something you absolutely don't need to be stressing about at full draw, hoping for the best!

Website shows 5 in stock - 4 index and a thumb button.
Edit: Not that I'm trying to discourage a visit to an archery shop!

Probably will go and check out arrowhead to what they have, but yes as Bol mentioned it seems they have a small selection of 1 brand for trigger releases. I have heard good things about B3 though. Hinge / back tension releases definitely seem like they enforce good form alot more than the other types

Arrowheads website is not the best, he has a lot more in stock than the website shows. Give him a call and see what he has.

I believe arrowhead had big issues with the web page designer giving up permissions to alter it.
He's a good guy. Give him a call and arrange a visit
