What distance are you hunting at?

What distance are people hunting out to and what distances are your sight pins set to?

Minimum: as close as I can get. Maximum: 200-800 depending on what I'm packing. Yes, that's a very broad range.

There was a poll a while back. You might be able to find it with a search.

Zero at whatever distance you want, based on what seems logical for your ballistics, optics, and target species. E.g. no point zeroing a 3-9x40 on a 22lr 3" high at 100m to go bunny shooting, like you might with a 270 for deer hunting. You'll be too high or low at most ranges for a target that small.

I believe the o.p is asking about archery hunting distance, as this I posted in the archery section of the forum

Im not doing alot of bowhunting right now, but when I was, I worked on being proficient out too 30 meters with both compound and trad, with most of my shots with either being taken within 20. Closest shot on a deer was 3 meters. Longest shot was on a bull tahr at 65.
