    Dave McClunie

    Dave passed away Monday 6th May.
    I met Dave through the NZ cartridge Collectors Club
    Of all the good bastards I’ve met Dave is way up there

    Sad news. Dave was a nice guy and a talented craftsman in wood, metal, and stone. We did several cartridge deals over the years.

    Was only talking to a mate about the Styx River the other day and he mentioned bumping into the McClunies in there some years back, R.I.P Dave

    He made the rifle stock on my first rifle - A Husky 30-06. Used to drop in on the way to South Westland Thar hunting and was always happy to give good advice. I really enjoyed his books. A real Kiwi Icon hunter in my view.
