Used a 7mm/08 for nearly 20 years a decade or so back and found the Hornady 139 flat base to be a reliable and good killer and I have no reason to believe it would be any different now.

I've got a $260 Konus 20-40x? It's okay at the 20-30x but absolutely useless at 35-40x.

RL 26 works well with the 140-143gr bullets. Faster than R16 and AR2209 for similar pressure signs

Had both on a 6.5 Creedmoor. Sold the VX5 2-10. The VX3i isn't as good optically, however it's about 5oz heavier than the VX3i 3.5-10 which is still a nice scope.

Excellent post, although it's not necessary to drop the case into water once annealed as it doesn't achieving anything of value unless you like drying out wet cases.

Seen the same thing happen with a friends 300WSM. The headspace was too great i.e. over sized as mentioned by ChrisW and the three times fired cases were loaded with a new different batch of powder...
