   Longer than what? My load in my 18" rifle has a 1.7fps SD so rifles with shorter than traditional barrels certainly don't struggle to have good ED/SD.

   Mate smacked over 2 nice deer tonight on last light. No fancy calibre but the 7/08 does the bizo. Long walk and carry in the rain. Soaked but rewarding. Bog standard Ruger but it is bloody accurate....
