    Good one Timid dogs usually make better indicating hunters Bulshi ones tend to hunt for themselves which as you would know does not bring home to much meat

    Yep the Kaimais is a good place to start for jungle training. I spent a couple of years goat culling in there during the mid 70s. Hunted most areas from St\Hw 29 to Waihi. Shot my share of goats deer...

    If looking Rotoehu I think the native at the lake end of the forest is worth a look, dont know if that becomes DOC or not, plenty of wobblies to lift a meal from if not succesful on a bigger animal.

    Grew up hunting Rotoehu, once you work it out your success will increase, it gets less pressure, it used to get bugger all compared to now. Kroa will be getting smashed by hordes of dogs, trucks...
