Yep the Kaimais is a good place to start for jungle training. I spent a couple of years goat culling in there during the mid 70s. Hunted most areas from St\Hw 29 to Waihi. Shot my share of goats deer...

If looking Rotoehu I think the native at the lake end of the forest is worth a look, dont know if that becomes DOC or not, plenty of wobblies to lift a meal from if not succesful on a bigger animal.
