   Changing from Magnum 215 primers to LR 210s in my 7mm SAUM was a game changer. Accuracy improved dramatically, my 168 VLDs were no longer fussy on seating depth and my SD was better.

    I haven't had my SAUM long but it seems to go well with federal 210s and 162 eldx. Il try some 180 eldms and 143 hammers next.

    I'd start with LR standard and only go up if you can't find a load that works for whatever reason. My feeling is the older style heavily retardant coated ball powders that really did need magnum...

    Mate wore out a barrel experimenting with different projectiles and primers. He found standard lr primers gave better sd than magnums

    i run fed 215 in my 7mm saum 168gr bergers with rl26 @ 3050, and fed 210 in my 6.5 saum 156gr and retumbo currently at 2900 with 20inch bbl.
