My kids use a tikka, stocks are relatively short to begin with. Bergara or Rossi are nice short rifles, just heavier than a tikka if that is a consideration. Don't get hung up on single shot. It's...

If your usual spots produce deer I would stick to those. My two boys are 12 and 14, both quite capable of walking 5-6hrs with rests and snacks. Kids are more capable then you realise. Just start...

Someone doesn't get sole use of that area from my understanding. It is only the ability to land there in a helicopter. Anyone can still walk into and hunt those ballots.

My 18in bergara is pushing the 165g TGK at 2650fps. Happy with mine to 500m. Any gunsmith will cut a tikka to desired length.

Take a hind or two. They will be better eating than the spikers. Testosterone levels go up in them as well, can have an effect on the meat.

Like any teenager, the spikers are trying to get some action but usually told to bugger off by the bigger fella. Will usually hang around the outside. Can be found in their own groups as well.
