Growing up I never saw my Dad clean his 22, the Sako centrefires always got cleaned though. Funnily enough I never clean my 22 now either but all my other firearms get well looked after.

All manufacturers quote distance on absolutely flat terrain. Start doing serious hills and you'll get 30-40km out of it

just buy a 10/22 and be done with it. 1000's of small furry animals shot with very few problems (usually ammo issues)

Carbide NZ. Their Volkel (german I think?) taps are good price and excellent quality - much better than the Irwin taps I'm slowly replacing in my set.
