Or, just buy something designed and manufactured in this century and then there's no need to concern yourself with the intricacies antiquated rifles or any need to take your "new" rifle straight to a...

Barry the hunter, you should give less advice. It is not set in concrete that a newcomer to hunting needs to get themselves an antiquated controlled feed rifle in a cartridge such as 7x57, 25-06,...

Couldn’t help myself, if we’re doing ballistics.. this is the 7prc with a 20” barrel, 175 berger elete hunter starting out at 2800, and a 180 eld-m starting out at 2750. Moderate speed, I could get a...

I agree with Muttonguts re the Hornady 55grn #2266 BTSP W/C I bought a few batches of these for between 28 cent and 36 cents each. That's cheap! I'm loading a deliberate light load of ADI AR2207...

With the development of modern slippery bullets and faster twist barrels on factory rifles I can see the writing on the wall for the big magnums in all but specialised use. There's a general trend...

One advantage that the Norma 53 grain projectile has is the cannelure. This tends to help produce a good mushroom while maintaining bullet weight for penetration.I have used these projectiles for...

I've been using the 33gr hammers in a hornet but unfortunately decent powder is not available here so at a pedestrian 2500 it doesn't blow rabbits up But I've just got hold of a L461 222 so hoping...

52grn speer HP work well and are cheap and easy to get.dont think 50grn Barnes will stabilise and 45grn getting very light. 63grn Sierra or 60grn Hornady or 70grn speer all work in the 1:14 twist.

The 52 grain Targex are an outstanding projectile on deer but I cant say if they will be any better than what your Mum has been using.
