    GRT shows this aswell, with the slower burning powders velocity is still on a reasonably steep incline by 24-26 inches, shortening a 6.5 PRC hurts the velocity alot more than alot of other cartridges

    Yeah i just fiddled around with it in GRT too, Looks like mid 2600 would even be a push with 2206h/cfe223 etc. Be far better off staying .223

    Their test barrel is 26". My own 26" didnt even really come close to hornady claims & neither does my 24" even if your generous as far as what you would expect to lose with a 2" shorter barrel.

    Browning & Tikka in 6.5 PRC. Tikka with the creedmoor. Tikka 6.5 PRC 24" does 3050 with the 143 eldx leaning on it pretty hard with RL26. Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor 24" does 2960 with 143 eldx also...
