Run into this at morgan hut - durville valley, lake rotoroa. Assuming it was found somewhere in the durville valley & left at the hut. Surely someone on here knows the owner & story behind it...

25/08 IMP for what its worth, GRT suggests that 2217 is only 15fps slower than RL26 with a max charge of both. 2217 would be reasonably compressed at that, RL26 wont be. 2225 gives a little more...

There is alot of variables when it comes to barrel length vs speed so theres no real once size fits all, you can estimate and theres some general rule of thumb "x fps for y inches of barrel" you can...

Jus liked post by 6.5 CRD On thread : Should I avoid Hornady brass?
My opinion differs to Jus but i guess because im not chasing maximum speed, it doesnt matter so much to me. Hornady brass in 7PRC isnt bad if your not chasing every last bit of velocity....

6.5 Staball will give more speed but at the sacrifice of temp sensitivity. If you have a good load sorted already with 2209, i would stick with that. If you look hard enough, you will find some. Bit...

Hardy magnum / stealth will outperform any of the dpt offerings for noise reduction. If you want to go one step further, atec h2 will beat them both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GlenM liked post by 6.5 CRD On thread : Short barrel powders (308 and 7mm RM)
Be mindful of twist rate, the rem mag will be 9 1/2 twist which could be not quite enough for some of the long projectiles in the 170gr range (175 ELDX for example) & the mag length is a problem with...
