Absolutely. That is the correct way to do it with cylindrical actions such as the Remington 700 etc. You have to make bolt-on pads that fit in the ejection and magazine ports to attach your wrench...

6x47 liked post by DPT On thread : Reasonable first baffle wear?
If I was sent that picture with no background info and asked how many rounds it has had through it id say maybe 800 +. A s/s blast baffle would definitely stop that. Ideally an email should be...

6x47 liked post by Gibo On thread : Fishing tomorrow!
Put my bro onto his first marlin yesterday. First trip out on his new boat after kitting it out. Hard work with two on board in trying conditions. Big ups to those who do it solo, bugger that. ...

Braid with a leader FG knotted on, gives your finger something to hold when casting and a bit of abrasion resistance in the rocks/surf.

6x47 liked post by ebf On thread : Balance beam scales
If you want scales that measure to the nth degree, get a force restoration balance. You will be spending around 1K. All the cheaper, even couple 100 $ electronic scales are strain gauge load...

6x47 liked post by dudz On thread : Hunting in France. Differences to NZ. Just for reference
Although I'm originally English, I lived in France for 14yrs. The gun laws are a lot different there. No firearms safe is required unless you own a handgun. A shooting licence is not a hunting...

6x47 liked post by Ultimitsu On thread : The best "new generation" 22 RF
I shoot mostly 22 so I have been following a lot of 22 rifle reviews and forums. I dont think anything comes close to Annie 54. Most of the new gen 22LR are more or less reinventing the wheel, in...

How you you figure that ? Having a bunch of lawyers refuse to let you join their ranks because they think you are a loose cannon pretty much says it all :D

6x47 liked post by Timmay On thread : Sako 85 in 6.5x55 - should I?
The 6.5x47l is designed to run a higher case pressure, this makes up a shortfall in case capacity, often overlooked.

Hmmm - I rechecked and you are correct, there was an initial diagram that I think I got from Accurate Shooter that showed it as .480 rim but for my own "update" I downloaded a new cartridge diagram...

See thats it, for every example of someone having a good 85 it's too easy to find another that's had ejection, feeding or accuracy issues. So, I've decided to pass up that finnlight as it would have...

    6x47 liked post by Sako85 On thread : Sako 85 in 6.5x55 - should I?
Good choice of caliber, but I personally would never buy another Sako 85 again. I think they are over priced and for what they are and the 2 I have had extemely poor ejection function, one in...

When you compare your beretta 85 to the beretta t3, and see the same results of cost cutting in their manufacture from the very same factory, you have to ask, why did I pay three times as much? The...
