The barrel length will be the issue. My Ackley drives a 150 LRAB at 3130 but this is a 26" bbl. Sure kills well.

Not correct- can easily be done esp with a combo of high neck tension/ fouling/ heavy brass/ hot primers/... 2208 is in fact an ideal powder for 150 class projectiles in a .308- ask any fullbore...

The big issues with getting it "wet" are you're in for at least three years drying before you can think of using it, and even then, there's a bit of luck as to whether it's gonna be suitable.
