Interesting comments about the T3 stock. I’ve always rated them pretty highly as far as cheap polymer stocks go, they tend to be more rigid than most and fit the average person well enough. The...

Nice work flyblown. When I was farming a flock of magpies used to occasionally hang out in a tree on my front lawn. I had a very accurate cz452 at the time, suppressed and shooting kilwell whispers....

noboots I agree with you to some extent. Nutrition that that is relatively high in fat and protein with a low GI index works great while sedentary, or when low to moderate intensity exercise is...

Endurance athletes will consume food every 30-45mins to keep the body fuelled. Foods that are about 50-60% carb with 10-20% sugar are normally the go, basically complex carbs for sustained energy...

chainsaw liked post by 7.62 On thread : Walnut and blued steel,
I think Phil used a BSA .222 as well. This might have been in between the 7x57 and 243, when triple twos were all the rage. Old news but the cullers appreciated the accuracy, lack of recoil, mild...

Micky Duck liked post by 7.62 On thread : 308 vs 7mm08 all rounder?
Agree totally. A 16in 308 is well suited to the bush but still capable if something pops up on a slip 300yd away. The 280 has it covered for hunting the open country. So the 7mm08 is redundant really

outlander liked post by 7.62 On thread : The grendal. Is it dying?
I looked pretty hard at a Grendel as a replacement for a 223. It made a lot of sense to me in terms of having considerably more energy than a 223 (for deer) but still still had the advantage of...

Try shooting a tikka t3 270, you’ll have the exact same experience. Actually I take that back, avoid any opportunity to shoot that rifle in that caliber! It was truly savage, kicked liked a mule and...

That’s weird as hell. Both the brand of rifle and the cartridge are inherently accurate, so you were bloody unlucky there!

Agree 100%. You want something with minimal recoil and muzzle jump for varminting, especially if it’s higher volume shooting. A 22-250 is about the limit. A heavy-ish suppressed 243 might be ok, but...
