Seems slow for 24'bbl,with a 20' as the per the others you could be down to low 2500s.but being a new barrel you'll more than likely get another 50 or so out of it after another bunch or rounds...

possibly will make it slower as the "rough spots'' as such havent worn down smooth yet.... you often see folks say barrels will speed up a bit as they get a few rounds down the tube...

8x Magnification will be ok. But I‘d rather look for a 8x32. They are still compact and not heavy but give you more light in the bush. Or even better a 7x42.
