Bagheera liked post by 7mm tragic On thread : Steel "Dinner Plate" Shoot
I like it. My thinking on this sort of competition is you everyone to be able to post a score (within reason) that isn't to embarrassing, but you don't want it so easy so that you end up with half...

Bagheera liked post by ChrisW On thread : Just Zeroed
I wouldn't trust something that was zeroed at 50m. If you validate at longer distance, then OK, but I wouldn't zero at 50 then go try to shoot stuff at longer distances and just expect it to work...

Bagheera liked post by andyanimal31 On thread : Just Zeroed
If your using for longrange dialing the accepted best practice is perfect zero at 100m or yards and then validate to your desired longest range. The reason for a 100m zero is then atmospherics are...

Bagheera liked post by -BW- On thread : Is the standard for a hunting rifle 1.5 moa?
A takeaway point that I got was that some peoples expectations or assumptions are different to the reality when put to the test. A number of shooters on this board have proven what their rifle is...

Bagheera liked post by Husky1600#2 On thread : Access to the Growler hut
The headwaters of most of the rivers are low at present, the rain didnt get back far enough to affect the upper reaches. No problems to drive to Growler, always a track somewhere. Can get all the way...

. Alrighty then... Here's short one; not about deer. I've been doing long range fishing out of San Diego for about 27 years. The trips are usually 7 to 15 days, and go down to Mexico, usually...

Bagheera liked post by grandpamac On thread : Why are they called foresight & back/rear sight?
Greetings, The tapered tang on early iron tools (think of a metal file or rasp) was simply driven into a piece of wood for a handle. We would likely not recognise the language the smith used at the...

, So why is it called a foreskin, not a back or rear skin? Just out of interest, which one are you putting closest to your eye?

Brilliant idea, and exactly what I have done. For that reason I put exactly the same scope on my 308 and 22. You will find that the 22 is super fun to shoot.
