   I know when we were doing a lot of aerial goat shooting the best we got was federal 9 pellet I think it was 00 - the 12 pellet was useless maybe that was 000 not sure but both were 2 3/4 shells

   depends on a few things really - how good a shot are you and how well is that .243 zeroed i.e how confident are you of a head shot and how far away are they - lung shot will wreck meat but ya get ya...

   as a young shepherd I made $20 a week and had to work sat morning as well - I paid for dog vet bills saddle costs etc - but one good deer sold was twice my earnings -man I hunted hard it was good...
