   I ran 46.2gr 2209, pushed the 143 ELDX to 2745 or so. It's a fair bit over book max so work up to it

   And if you want to run heavy for cal the slower powders yield greater velocity. I load 100g in dad's 18.5" mod 7 using imr7828ssc. Works a treat and gets 300 fps more than 100g federal.

   Was running 85gn tsx out of 16in barrel front of 40gn 2206 not sure you can get that now but 40gn of imr 3031 does the same thing 3000fps and accurate

   Parker Hale or Brno will do the job well too.You could well pick up a tidy Rifle for $500 second hand.Spend the difference on reloading gear,most people don't practice near enough.
