Interesting, About the same money as a model 7 223 once you include the floorplate. However slightly better twist in the Howa of 8 vs 9 in the M7 - plus more caliber options too I guess.

You are right at subsonic velocity all bullets have much the same trajectory no matter how high their BC so pick a bullet that has the best shape to deliver the energy to the target, Longer range...

Given the CM both 6.5 and 6.0 are designed to work in short actions with long pills it will work great imo.

Works good, very nicely made. Bottom feed.....could possibly top feed with much dicking around. Picks up,feeds and ejects flawlessly. 5 shot in 223. Balances in the hand! I am a very happy man...

So results Shot at 50m did not fire any exclamation shots before shooting for accuracy (like you should) Just fired 10 of each ammo one after the other Winchester 40gn USA was a clear loser...

Finally scratched up enough pennies to put a VX5 on my Montana :) 148126 Talley lows did the trick... Just! 148127 Now weighs 3050 grams all up. Was 2900 with Kahles Helia 3-9
