BRADS liked post by R93 On thread : Ethics of shooting pregnant / lactating Hind deer
I agree its a personal thing. I have probably killed thousands of pregnant or fawn in tow hinds on waro and meat shooting. So can't be a hypocrite. However I havent shot a hind, nanny or doe for...

BRADS liked post by StrikerNZ On thread : Rain coat recommendations
Macpac and Cactus make decent longer raincoats. Obviously towards the more heavy-duty end of the spectrum, and definitely no soft-outer fabrics, so noisy in scrub etc. But you’ll know they should do...

I will just use my normal pack even if just day hunting nowadays (Cactus Hector) but I find it really good to keep all my bits and bobs nice organised and handy. I bought a small Cactus zip pouch...

Errrr, I dont know if I would advocate for him.... Pretty average knowledge base in my experience. I would be more inclined to use one of the OEM reloading manuals than anything he puts out.

Just remember to cross reference some of what he has to say about specific cartridge and projectile behavior/performance with personal experience, he isn't always right about everything.

BRADS liked post by stagstalker On thread : WTF. B FA LEFT SOON.
There are too many deer in so many places. That’s pretty obvious, and yes we as hunters play a part in managing them but that part is not big enough. Hunters simply do not shoot enough deer. There’s...

I reckon a number of you are kidding your selves, there’s no ‘political agenda’ here, the facts speak for them selves; there’s miles too many deer in NZ. The collapse of the recovery industry and a...

This isn’t a political issue, yet you fellas are intent on turning it into one. The majority of the farmers want deer numbers reduced. I’d say the significant majority of them don’t vote for...

BRADS liked post by Friwi On thread : Sako Carbonlight vs Finnlight
It is possible. The fluting profile or radius is not quite the same on that carbonlite , that particular finnlight and a tikka superlite. The carbonlite seems to have the wider radius of the three.

I think you will find the barrelled action is the same on both and the Finlight 2 as well. Although the Finlight 2 is ceracoted. The carbon light stock is very nice although the rubber coating wears...
