    Checked the protrusion, looked the same if not more than my other rifle so don't think that is the problem. Pin tip isn't mushroomed. See pic below though, the firing pin hole is definitely bigger...

    I've disassembled the bolt and degreased/cleaned it and very lightly oiled it before reassembly. There was a lot of oil in there so perhaps the excess oil was causing a hydraulic effect preventing...
