Good idea, but I'd be concerned about getting sprung while packing up the guys' gear. Potential to go sideways. Personally I'd give the GPS/map coordinates to DoC and let them deal with it.

caberslash liked post by Tahr On thread : January Ruahine Mission
Don't rush. I used to do these trips. One summer I crossed the Ruahines, Kaimanawas and Tararuas. Loved every minute but looking back I was always rushing from one point to another. I wish now I had...

caberslash liked post by Gkp On thread : The good old ELDX
Keep in mind that caliber size and weights of each eldx all perform differently. Magnum vs standard fps also dictates performance in close so one eldx(or any projectile) is not the same result on...

Actually I’m not “hoping or neckbearding” for anything, I’ve got all the scopes/ gear I need. What I am saying is it’s a high probability the tariff proposals could impact prices to us ( negatively...

caberslash liked post by Tahr On thread : 223 on deer
My first BRNO .222 circa 1968 relied on the pop up peep sight for its first year or so no problem. I could head shoot rabbits to a handy range and I dont recall having any trouble knocking over deer....

That really annoys me - not the people having a crack themselves as that is the kiwi way and it's how ya upskill and learn. It's the bagging of the pros just because you don't like paying to get the...

Not all mechanics are good either heck there's some useless mechanics about in all sizes of out fits these days who can't diagnose simple problems.

Years ago a young guy came into the garage with a sugar bag full of gears, shafts, bearings, loose needle rollers, and the (now empty) gearbox casing from a Mk2 Zephyr. Could I please check it over,...
