I dont think Bonehead told lies considering he also used a triple deuce bolt action on venison recovery out of the chopper.

Read Mike Bennetts book tells about a well known West coast hunter shooting 3 big red stags at 500 yards with the triple deuce. Hunter died in last few years in a tragic river crossing in a truck.

Found this with a Tikka the other day. Front, middle and rear of the top of receiver all showed different bubble readings.

Well I did abandon physics in Form 6 as neither my head nor my math was up to it, but happy to take you word for it. The dealer agrees with you and in a nutshell offered the the 3 lug bolt design ...

This is a weird thread. The 243 creates carnage. In fact generally the soup that comes out of an animal is worse in my 243 than my 308 and 6. 5s. This big guy was a couple weeks back and a really...

I have a 308 with similar issue. I backed the load off till it was stupid slow thinking it was too hot but still had the same problem. In the end it was a headspace issue. My chamber is short....

Try a Tikka T1X in .22 rimfire and put the 40g CCI sub projectile in the spot behind its head (where the spine meets the skull) way less meat damage than that big boomer your using :) 273696

It's the projectile, not the caliber. Plenty of good slightly harder projectiles. Ive never had that with the 80 or 74 Targex.

Yeah was a big industry back in the day. Lots of fellas put food on the table with fox skins. A Sako, Remington or Tikka in .17 Rem with a Kahles 8x56 scope was the sign of a serious pro fox shooter....

I had this rifle built as a dedicated spotlighting (foxes, cats) or 'longer' range bunny buster. By longer range I don't mean using ballistic apps, dialling up and down or any of that caper....
