   More accurately I believe the Sako 100 is now the production bolt action rifle. Ugly looking thing, but those Europeans do like there switch barrel rifles (and so does there laws I think).

    Aesthetics only I'd wager. Most of the dedicated LR stocks have biggish barrel channels and wide forends. pencil barrel would look weird.
