There seems to be a trend these days with many new hunters who think they,re going to shoot deer at say 600 meters with their .308 or similar powered cartridge and subsequently mount some huge Hubble...

Had the Nightforce and S&B scopes and figured they make better boat anchors. Use euro glass for clarity, and reliable dial function but at practical size (500grms) Rifles are simple rem actions,...

There is snobbery in every hobby. Probably more so now because people have more disposable income compared to when I was a young fella growing up in the 70's. I often see people on here telling...

I like to buy "nice" well made gear that lasts for what ever hobby or interest. Usually it works without fuss and is reliable. My rifles and shotguns and optics are no exception When I am done...

If you have a flash rifle and big expensive scope I'll probably assume you are a city dweller who only gets out hunting once a year.

Looks too heavy for NZ. And usual Euro over engineered features. Looks like another European rifle for shooting roe deer from a tower with a big scope.

Mate was paying $86 for 20 rds 308 Win Superformance 150gn SST. At $100 for 100 projectiles in May, $86 for 500gm AR2206H and $0.21c replacement cost of primers per each it worked out from memory...

You will be able to make cheaper ammo, but you will end up buying more rifles and shooting more. You also need to be shooting quite a few rounds to spread the cost of the equipment over.

Yes but no.......................yes it can be cheaper in that you can load more ammo for the same $100 bucks vs buying factory but since you are reloading you tend to shoot more because its cheaper....

Firedot reticles are exceptionally good for bush, low light and bush edge hunting. I have several Leupold scopes (VXr, VX5 and VX6) with firedot and really rate them. I find the firedot also helps...

Me and a mate are making 224 and 6mm bullets out of them. I'll be happy to grab them off of you? Im shooting at the TLRS regularly and would be able to pick up. Beer OK?
