CBH Australia liked post by bumblefoot On thread : Scraping and rattling for stags
I was watching some US hunting videos the other night and it reminded me how little kiwis use scrapping and antler rattling to call in stags during the rut. Often the elk hunters will have a cagey...

It's all good, BUT in today's social media-driven world, it's all about clicks. Who doesn't click a thumbnail of a hot girl holding a gun?! I think that's why we're seeing more women "represented" in...

Is it just me? Or does there seem to be many more young female hunters posting pics of deer/stags they've taken this roar on FB etc? I haven't seen as many before and think it's great. Is it that...

Timely thread resurrection. I've been asked to deal with a pig problem which is great! Due to the nature of terrain and bush, I can only setup 40 metres away from the bait station. These pigs have...

I shot feral hogs for 40 years with a Ruger semi carbine in .44 Magnum, till Aunty Jacinda decided I wasn't allowed to play with it anymore. They were all 1 shot kills. I liked it because it was...

I hit an average sized boar in the neck with 308 168gr sierra matchking. It was pretty close at 15yards or so but those copper jacket hollow points do the job a treat. It blew a huge exit hole and he...

You don't need anything special, a standard bush hunting setup will do the job. .308 or similar calibres will knock them down dead and cover goats and deer as well.
