cbfb liked post by Cigar On thread : Chronograph advice
Further to my 3 shot test using both the Prochrono and Magnetospeed together, I have found some other data, averages of 3 or more shots from the same batches of reloads, but not the same shots, and...

Micky Duck liked post by Cigar On thread : Dealing with a flinch
I did a similar thing with the young fellas shooting my 308 - slipped in a snap cap every now and then, makes it quite obvious if they are flinching, and helps correct it because they aren't...

I load my bush 308 (Bergara 16.5" suppressed) with the 30-30 pointed style Hornady 160gr FTX at 2350fps, mainly because my 30-30 didn't like them. Shoots well to 200m, I haven't tried them at 300 but...

My estimate of a full case (Lapua) was just under 15 grains of Trailboss. A load of 14 grains behind Robert's 151's gave me 1565fps, it would be interesting to work out the ballistics to 300m.

Probably his hands. I'm not being a smartarse, he probably punched the skin off like I was taught to do years back, rather than using a knife. The way I was taught, you only used a knife to make the...

This thread reminds me of my first shots at a deer. We had set up camp at the top of a slip in the Ruahines. Just on dark I took a look over the top and there were several deer feeding at most 50m...
