Cordite liked post by hotbarrels On thread : .17HMR short barrels
I am looking to shorten the barrel on my CZ 455 .17HMR for better front carry ergonomics. The rifle is mounted in a Boyds stock and fitted with a PARD IR 008. The barrel is currently 19" and...

Cordite liked post by gundoc On thread : Suppressors and pressure
Suppressors do not increase pressure but do increase the time/pressure curve because they slow the exit of the muzzle gases. This can show as dirty cases in semi-autos but there is usually no...

Cordite liked post by Pommy On thread : Timney Trigger Causing Light Primer Strikes
Mine still isn't perfect. Federal 205 primers go off much more reliably than CCI 450's but even they aren't 100% including getting a click on that wallaby headshot in the 7.62x39 subsonic thread. ...

Checked the protrusion, looked the same if not more than my other rifle so don't think that is the problem. Pin tip isn't mushroomed. See pic below though, the firing pin hole is definitely bigger...

Cordite liked post by Makros On thread : Suppressors and pressure
I sorted out a preliminary load for my reasonably new 6.5PRC (sub 100 rounds), 53.5grn of H4831sc which is 1.2 grain under Hornady published max. This load showed the best accuracy with 143 grn ELD-x...
