    556 or wd40 is great for cleaning, oiling not so much.

    I'm with you on this one re the Benelli. I have one but I always clean it at the end of the season and if it gets wet but my brother and the way he treats his Super Black Eagle has always appalled me...

    At subsonic it should never foul just clean with solvent and a few patches it is like a big .22RF, The lube is mostly wax a bit like car wax, all that is in the bore is powder residue no scrubbing...

    so....you talking lead/throat.... well to my simple non engineering mind you garden variety drill bit has what 45 degree angle ,you run correct size in to remove the rifling to required depth...then...
