   Maybe a bit of a drive for you but there is a range in Te Anau, targets/plates out to 520 yards from memory, have to be a member but cheap membership fees, look up Fiordland Firearms Club

   Thanks for the replys, going to go with the 3.5-10x40, had a look at the place suggested cant see any scopes there?, any one else got any suggestions where to get a good price?

   Really appreciate all the feed back guys, looks like might have to give the Amax and Barnes a trial after what has been said, Finally went to the range last weekend and managed a .685" 5 shot group...
