   It doesn't matter which dust collector you get. A cyclonic filter like Oneida will prolong the life of the filter and save you lots of money. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube to make a cyclonic trap.

   I know for guaranteed sure that Walnut husks / shells are used to dye wool by home spinners. I remember helping my Granny along with a bunch of other home spinners in her knitting circle collect them...
