    If you have just put bases on the action, you may have put the longer screws in the front ring and hitting lugs. If your a new shooter gun someone who is a bit more experienced to have a look.

    With the bolt closed and decocked there should be a slight bit of play present. Bolt sledges back and forward a touch. Assuming no gunk in the lug area. If it’s tough to open then bolt handle...

    Stag, Yes typo, 48.5 not 58.5! I went up to 50 grains of 2209 and 51 of 2213 with both 140 A max and Berger VLDs. VLDs shot a bit better for me then. 2209 loads were starting to show pressure...

    Stag, If my memory is good you went up to about 51.5 gns of 2209 and 53.5 gns of 2213 behind a 140 A max. I pushed up to your loads but they were too hot for me.
