I used Trouts approach for a long time, on my .270, 3.5 inch high @ 100m, zero at 275 meters, back hold at 400. And using a range finder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mate, if you think a T3 is heavy and cumbersome you sound like you haven’t held one? In which case go into h&f and handle a few and others too. 70% of hunters in ANZ are using them. Their could be a...

lower velocities are to be expected with 2213. Any load that gives close to 3000 fps with a 160+ gn pill is lively. You're right, you can feel the change in dynamics when your in the zone.

Not really, I’m seeing it in other ELDM posted images in the .223 thread, and in my own hunting using the 145’s at 3000+. It just is at another level in your recent image. Sent from my iPhone...

I grew up shooting .22/250’s, shooting Roos for skins and carcass for pet food on the western Queensland plains. In those days it was all 55 gn pills at 3500 fps. Good to the edge of the spotlight...

I use 25.0 and 25.5 of 2208 behind a Barnes 80.5 gn .224 pill so you can be a bit braver. Seated out long though.
