PS, get lots of practice in at longer ranges. A drop chart is only a part of it, reading the wind is far more difficult and is the major factor to consider. Reactive targets like a bizalloy plate...

1. Ignore the supposed velocity on the box, its wildly optimistic 2. Either set up A1 or A2 sized targets at 300m, 350m, 400m and 450m and see how much they are dropping from a 200m zero Or...

I'm more alarmed at his pretty lax range control. Head by the muzzle of the shooter, shoots and then causally walks up to the target still holding loaded pistol?

The Nikon P-223 series have dial turrets, around the same price (ie $30 USD more) and are 25% lighter. Have a look at those too.
