Tend to agree with Edunn. The thread has gone somewhat off-track with two individuals carrying on a personal argument unrelated to original post. Seems to happen quite often on this site.

Don't think you can. Gives us others something to chuckle about. Of course we have never done this ourselves.

You'll be fine as long as you don't get a torrential downpour, which is highly unlikely. Throw a shovel in with your chains. Used to be a lot of pigs in the Elliot before it got poisoned but I...

I find the absolute wilderness meals better than the radix and backcountry ones. Taste and look like actual food and are pretty compact so don’t take up too much room in the pack

Ive tried a bit of everything but I keep going back to cheese crackers and salami. Longer trips I throw in a few ramen noodles to mix it up.

The extra low in 30mm works fine with the 30mm VX5 2-10x42 on a Tikka T3x so would work okay on the 30mm VX3i 4.5-14x42 and give you an even lower cheek weld.

Low is good as you want a good check weld which will improve your shooting, also getting on target for fast moving animals is easier with a low mounted scope.
