You don't need to wear a bolt as could happen in the most extreme case but a buggered rifle (recently documented) or a lost eye due to a shower of crap coming back thru some of the poorer gas...

I agree 1:8 twist is a sweet spot for twist rate. Todd Hodnett from Accuracy First stated he uses this in his rifle builds up to and including 308w.

ok bud..following you so far....now an OLD SCHOOL way of doing same....use your cleaning rod with the, object removing bit on end..eg flat end....push a projectile up the chamber and hold it as far...

Sounds like nut at top wasn't tightened up, pit it back in dir, tighten nut properly and lower back down, expect case will come off with ease

Yes. Agree totally. I have little collections of pulled bullets, brass etc from others handloads. That dacron filler scares the crap out of me. You have no idea what the outcome will be not knowing...

Well said GPM. Reloading can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. And with "complicated" comes expense. First and foremost, you have to have mastered the art of accurate shooting....
